Design Studios
I have experience instructing a wide variety of courses in departments of art and design, including design studios such as: Three-Dimensional Design; Contract Design; AutoCAD I and II; Design Presentation; Residential Design; and Portfolio Preparation.
The goal of such courses is to teach design students necessary skills in subjects like drafting, sculpture, portfolio layout, and space planning. Course materials emphasize the principles and elements of design, and frequently incorporate real world site visits.
History Lectures
I have also taught lecture courses focused on materials and history of architecture and interiors. Courses taught include: History of Environmental Arts; History of Architecture, Interiors + Furnishings; Materials for Interior Designers; and Introduction to Historic Preservation. I currently teach History of Environmental Arts courses at UCLA Extension.
Extracurriculars
I have been involved in a variety of extracurricular activities, community service projects, and gallery exhibitions.
Prior activities include: Student Art Gallery Faculty Advisor, Student ASID Chapter Faculty Advisor, and Student CANstruction Team Faculty Advisor.
